The Gretsch that Lin plays is a G6120-1959LTV. There was no special story behind buying it. It wasn't born of a long-held longing for a vintage Gretsch, and Lin wasn't searching for the same model as a particular guitarist. What first captured Lin's heart was simply the way it looked.

The vivid orange body. The presence that only a big hollow body has. And that distinctive Gretsch beauty, which draws the eye even when the guitar is just sitting on a stage. "It's beautiful." It was out of that simple feeling that Lin picked it up.

But as Lin kept playing it and spent more and more time on stage with it, its place in Lin's life slowly changed. Today it is much more than a beautiful guitar. It is a partner that Lin holds while singing, that sounds out every note, and that has stood beside Lin through countless performances.
